Welcome to Blue Dog Enamel Art
Glass enamelled copper with Cloisonné style wire work. Artwork that will last forever.
Welcome to our website
We are very proud of the way we create Art.
We use a little known style called Cloisonné, which is copper wire bent to form the shape , then fused and coloured onto copper pieces. We then create a surround with stained glass to enhance and reinforce the story. The end result is a truly original piece which will never fade, or rust and requires no frame.
This is an example piece, its titled "A Shared Heart ".
We put our heart and soul into all we do.
It reflects who we are and the way we interpret our lives.
Gallery
This is just some of our interesting creations. We take pride in attempting to tackle many topics.
We like to address things we have experienced and things we have seen,
We love to do Australian landscapes that depict the timeless nature of our indigenous people and how they shaped and were shaped by the environment.
I try hard to explore the relationship spaces between between Men and Women.
I like to also explore the experiences and friendships that I had as a member of the Special Air Service Regiment.
I also like to do stuff just because I can .
We love the ambient light shining through the stained glass surrounding the copper enamel art piece, as it is something very unique. It changes all times of the day and night. The piece itself is glass on copper and it changes too, depending on light and angle of viewing. Many of our art pieces also have 'relief". that is they are not flat, they have height width and depth. This too adds to the viewers interpretation of the story within the piece. These pieces are pretty much weatherproof and mostly require no frame. THey can be hung in the weather, sun, rain or dust. Simply gently was them under warm running water.
We hope you like them.
